What is the best age for newborn portraits?
For the posed, sleeping baby portraits, the best time is within the first 10days after birth. Babies under 2 weeks are still very sleepy, soft and unaware, making them easier to pose : ) After 10days of age, babies have more awake time making the posing more challenging, having said this, I have posed babies up to 8weeks old. It really depends on the individual child. After 10 days of age, we can get some lovely open-eyed portraits. At this age, a parent will need to be available to hold the baby. (Post-baby parents not sure if you want to be in the photos? Not to worry, we can crop the photo so only the most flattering angles are shown.)

I have a 3 week old, what should I wear for the photos where I will be holding my baby?
Either a black or white tube top, or strapless dress would be perfect!

How long will my session take and what can I expect during the session?
Newborn and Infant Sessions can take between 2-3hrs. In addition to posing your baby, a lot of the time will be spent getting your little one to fall asleep so it is best if you feed your baby and try to keep him/her up before your session starts. We will have the air-conditioner off for the entire session so please dress lightly and rest assured your little one will not be cold.
How do I know if I have enough natural light for my home session?
Being a natural light photographer, I do not use any flash or lighting. I do require a large window in the area that we will be photographing. If you have any questions about the suitability of your flat, please take some photos of your apartment at the desired session time, i.e. at 7am or 8am and email them to me: 3milkmonsters@gmail.com
My flat is small and cluttered, can I still have a session in my home?
Yes! Definitely. We may have to move around some furniture and clear some of the clutter away into another room. If you’re not sure, please feel free to email me photos of your flat for feedback.
